The starting point for "QUIET" was really the desire to design a very simple chair, made entirely of wood and deliberately discreet.
So I looked for a simple constructive solution in order to create a light and resistant chair using traditional chair construction techniques, easy to produce but also focussed on comfort.
I decided to lighten the outline of the chair as much as possible while retaining enough material at strategic locations, to achieve robust assemblies.
From there, and with the constructive solution chosen, the work became a search for constructive and formal balance between the different parts of the chair to reach a
harmonious general outline. A work on the relationship between design and construction.
"QUIET" is easily adaptable as an armchair, a low chair,--- Thanks to its great versatility, it is also suitable for private or public spaces.
