Inspired by the work of Shigeru Ban and particularly his work with the cardboard tubes, I tried to design a chair like its architecture, by temporarily forgetting the traditional assembly systems for a chair with tenons and mortises. at first glance it looks like a classic chair, when you look closer, we see very quickly that it is not at all built traditionally, wooden sections are unusual, the assembly method are different, but nothing obvious.
On the technical level the chair is also very simple and logic, the 2 wooden cylinders that gives the character to the chair are connected and fixed together by two wooden slats and are effectively the central part of the chair, visually and technically.
The front legs are just simple slats rounded at the ends, the rear legs are made of curved wood to make the liaison between the seat, necessarily orthogonal and the curved backrest. Possible variations sank source, just as logical, LOOP is easily adaptable as armchair, low chair, stool, etc.---
Upholstery is also flexible, the first idea was a fabric or a mesh sligthly transparent but the leather could be an interesting solution also.
